New updated Nepal Map to be sent to UN

Revised Nepal Map

Nepal Government is about to send its updated and revised map to various countries like Google, India and international community by mid August. The revised map includes Indian places like Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani.
Padma Aryal, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation told ANI “We will be sending the updated map including Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura to various UN agencies and the international community including India. The process will be completed by the middle of this month”.
The Minister asked the Department of Measurement to print 4000 copies to the revised map in English and distribute them to international community.
The Measurement Department has made 25,000 copies of the latest revised map and distributed them around the nation. Government offices will be given the map free of cost and one can buy the map at 50 Nepali Rupees (NC).
The new Map contains Indian territories and India has also said that Nepali’s unilateral action is “not based on historical facts and evidence”.
India also said that the move is contrary to the bilateral understanding to resolve the outstanding boundary issues through diplomatic dialogue and “such artificial enlargement of territorial claims will not be accepted by India”.
